Jean-Francois Bonneté is a consummate and respected Luxury goods industry professional with nearly two decades of experience, both internationally and in the United States. Throughout his career, Mr. Bonneté has earned a distinguished reputation as an energetic, determined, efficient and passionate brand and business leader and builder, as well as an exceptional and creative marketer.

In 2015, Mr. Bonneté founded Bonneté Consulting to advise and grow new and existing brands and companies in the United States. Prior, Mr. Bonneté served as Chief Operating Officer of Pisco Portón, LLC, and oversaw the daily operations of the company, including development, marketing and sales. He was also specifically responsible for building the Portόn brand and business globally.

Prior to joining Pisco Portón, LLC, Mr. Bonneté founded and built the spirits portfolio at W.J. Deutsch & Sons, where he served as Senior Vice President and was responsible for managing a myriad of award winning brands. Previously, Mr. Bonneté served as Director – North America of Cognac Ferrand USA, one of the world’s leading producers, marketers and exporters of French luxury spirits. During his ten year tenure, he played an instrumental role in the development and growth of the company’s business in North America, launching Pierre Ferrand Cognac, Plantation Rums and Citadelle Gin.

Mr. Bonneté also serves as Chairman and a board member of the French-American Chamber of Commerce (FACC) in Houston, and member of the US National Executive Committee of the FACC. He was knighted in 2011 as “Chevalier de l’Ordre National du Mérite Agricole” for his contribution to the French wine and spirits industry. Mr. Bonneté studied business at Harvard University as well as international finance at New York University, and received his MBA from Institut Supérieur de Gestion, one of France’s leading business schools.

Mr. Bonneté lives in Houston with his wife Nathalie and their seven children.
